Of course experience is more important than certification but when you lack experience, certifications give you credibility you wouldn’t otherwise have because you’ve taken the time to learn the concepts.

a great explanation. 2 days class with Messi is far more worth than reading a book from Ronaldo and thinking you are ready. CSM it is. PSM is only harder and cheaper because their fee doesn't include the charges of the instructor led training and they dont need to keep upto date as their certs dont need re certification. but im glad lot of people are leading masses to do PSM.

Hi agilecoach, i totally agree with what you mentioned.

It is simply because utilizing the scrum framework requires work experience and understanding what the company needs.😢

That itself translates into having high common sense/EQ and domain knowledge to do it, instead of copying and implementing the framework directly and causing other integrated business units to crash.

I personally would look more onto specialised parts of Scrum instead like
Kanban hybrid etc.

So you were able to land a Scrum Master role after receiving PSM 1. So wouldn't you say that the PMS1 certification help you land that role?
In that case spending $150 to get the Scrum Master title is worth it.
Or did you have other experiences that lead you to Scrum Master role?
