I Love your play style because it matches my headcanon for Monarch’s flying. Right at the start, it’s full afterburners at Crimson, no more speeches, no more talking. He’s not looking for a payday anymore. He’s a hired gun, sure. But what Crimson has just done is *Unforgivable*

I like how he nukes an entire would be country and causes a second apocalypse and Crimson 1 still thinks he's somehow justified.

I gotta admit, this mission’s ending gave me a bigger impact than any other game I have ever played.

I've done this mission twice and I dread having to do it a third time for my Merc mode run, specially since I'm sticking to using the F-14 for this. Also every time Crimson opens his mouth I wish Diplomat would show up out of nowhere to tell him to shove it.

When the music cut out and monarch's name popped up as a second boss health bar I literally yelled out "let's fucking I'm the boss now!" But then the new bfm stayed somber instead of rising, and crimson's screams of frustration knowing he's already lost... It wasn't quite the glorious duel I expected. It was basically an execution. It had me feeling ways I still have a hard time putting into words, but I can say it was beautiful.

Final boss plane is probably a Macross reference, performance and tech wise.

This is what I love about this game. Ace Combat would've thrown a timer and a score requirement on this fight along with a bunch of weaker planes. This is just survive or risk having to do it all over again.

The entire software used for mission briefings and our own hud is timed out and worst thing is that one reaches the second phase of the fight (Where fireballs and firedomes appear off the ground), the HUD expires and you're blind. At least on Hard, in Mercenary seems like that you have to get the cockpit view to have awareness of how you're going and not only gives more difficulty but also is climatical to the scene.

the detail that it has, that at the beginning Crimson 1 appears as the boss, and in Coronation, Hitman 1 appears as the final boss

I actually thought of doing the whole campaign in mercenary in an su25, then I actually tried mercenary in the first mission.

I've finally gotten into this game, and I worked my way up the difficulty with glass cannon, and double time always on. Let's just say fighting two of these is h e l l.
