It's been a long time since I've played an ice crystal beam setup even though I've been a wizard for 99% of the time I've played DI. I'll be checking out this build!

Thanks for the build! Have always run Wizard/Sorcerer. Tried out the build have all slots awaken 1954res Viper, Bloody Reach, Pain Clasp, Lament, Unyielding, Beserker, Everlasting torment and trickshot. I must say the build absolutely melts. Any level. I'm usually up against 3-7k resos and provided they have no "Immune to damage" buff their health just melts away. Great video and build.

I thought I was the only Wizard playing this build as well (second one I saw last night was Wiztard) .. Honestly I've been always playing beam/crystal, combined with these 2 sets + all the dot gems + helm it makes it insane.
It gets even better with the higher your armor pen/potency you have. People are really sleeping on this one I am top kills and assists almost every game, killing people off-screen all the time. It gets even better with voice when playing ROE.

I am pretty sure you know about it, but just wanted to confirm. Max CDR for any skills is 30%. Your Ice Crystal currently sits at 18.6 + 10 + 10 which is 38.6. DOn't you think it might be better to move one of those Ice Crystal awakenings to improve other skills?

Nice vid as always, but regarding the build itself i think when you have a good player, say on BK or DH on the enemy team, that knows how to deal with backline, you are not going to be super impactful cuz you will have to constantly be thinking about how not to die from them, cuz, as you mentioned yourself many times in the vid - it's GIGA squishy.

This looks fun but kinda unreal in matches with high reso, considering bks, barbs, dhs usually annoy backlines. But great it works for you

I kind of disagree with the %Damage Ancestral ability though. Dealing Damage invocations with the stun might suit you better, even with off screen damage. DD invo stun procs on the target, not on the player, so even from ranged if something ticks on them it could cause a stun. But you would have to farm out those invocations I suppose so it's a bit of a time sink + annoying to get stats that work. Although to be fair, 6x DD invo's is worth running even with some undesirable stats.

Nothing is more annoying than 6x Invo stun with a 20 second CD and full tremor family with a 13 second CD, hahah.

I don't think I would drop Armor Pen to pick up potency, honestly I'm fairly certain HP is still factored into the Match Making process, especially in Legend bracket where resonance slowly becomes to be taken out of the equation completely(at least according to Blizzard, who knows what's real and what isn't), but even if it isn't the Life nodes in the Paragon trees immediately lose value when you step into a BG and lose a ton of HP.

Imo there is nothing more important than secondary stats at the moment, you'd probably be served better taking some out of +HP and adding to Potency or other secondaries since they at least do not take any type of compression or penalty just for having them in a BG.

Yes, those pathethic nabs who shout stay on idol! Im so sick of em fkin neanderthals lmao. There are classes who can stay and tank the idol and the rest, and deff wizz with this build and some dh build cant do it. Nice video mate, keep up the good stuff!

I saw someone using this build last week so i just tried it last night before watching your video today. I don't have the helm slow time essence and I still went 9 kills 1 death. Sadly, you're right about the front line. I didn't have any front line to help push the idols so even though i had MVP, we lost. I'd get some kills but then I'd get charged and have to retreat.

This build melts though. I have 4 pc angmet, 2 pc banquet, and 2 pc vithus because i haven't built 4 pc grace yet. Incomplete build and still melting players with only 1310 reso lol. Can't wait to finish out the build.

A hug from Brazil, I started playing this week. I'll do it like yours. However, there are a few items and gems that will take me a while. for example bloody jade can I replace it with a 2 star jade? I know it won't be as efficient
