Dave worked me twice, the second time using QRP after he made a call for QRPers. That was nice! Not too many operators will do that. In the vid I said "not bad for 5 watts and a dipole..." but I was just nervous. I was running 10w PEP.

When I was just a kid, we were too poor for a "store bought" TV antenna. So, like many others, we used coat hangers. There were some surprisingly good results.
Now, having only a tech license, I can do some really stupid stuff and no one is especially surprised.
Yep, you are already ahead of me. Of course, my experiments on 6 and 10 meters are not getting good results. But my X-5105 can tune it!
I have this figured out. The coat hangers of my childhood were made in the USA of most excellent American steel and lovingly crafted by my countrymen.
The slovenly excuse for a coat hanger I now have was made in China with shit materials and bent up in a factory full of slave labor.
No wonder my radio hates them, it's also Chinese and recognizes a kindred spirit!
