You are lucky to get Shawn Williams, really. When he served as Pastor (along side Sr. Pastor Jud Wilhite at Central Church in Henderson, NV), I believe we had some of our greatest years of growth, reaching and helping more people than ever.

i've been a part of healthy transitions and messy ones and for some reason where the messy ones always seem to tear my faith down, its moments like this one, that renew my belief in God's providence to allow the church to become a movement, wrapped in a tradition, wrapped in an institution. Well done Willow Creek!

Shouldn't church be about lives changed and making disciples? Increasing attendance and giving doesn't tell you either. Putting butts in seats is not a factor of success, at least in a Christ following church, it shouldn't be. Assuming that people are lost because they weren't attending a church is a huge error. Many Christians stopped attending church because many have left their first love, Jesus, and embraced "Wokeness" and the world's view, not a Biblical one. If you promote a Biblical worldview, your church won't be popular, but it will be righteous and pleasing to Christ.
