Keir Starmer says he’s ‘a man who can’t stand injustice’ as Labour face pressure in polls

In just two days voters in many parts of the country will go to the ballot box to elect mayors and local councils across England, national parliaments in Scotland and Wales, as well as two by-elections.

Off the back of some grim polls, Labour is now 'managing expectations'.

The party's leader Sir Keir Starmer spent the day in north Wales on the campaign trail.

He spoke to us earlier and we asked him what exactly he meant by taking "responsibility" if, as looks likely, Labour loses the Hartlepool by-election.

He is the son of the toolmaker and his father, good to his trade, manufactured a complete tool.

I am glad Keir clarified he was human. I was beginning to have my doubts.

Excuse after excuse. I left the party because of this robot.

Ironic coming from the man who suspended Jeremy Corbyn.

Starmer blaming poor polling on not being able to get out there as if he is some electrifying, charismatic speaker 🙄

17 months later and you could argue Labour are struggling even more.

No matter how much I much I dispise Johnson, I really can't find it in me to get behind Starmer - He's just fundamentally uninspiring.
Had to watch the video a second time to catch what he stood for. More jobs, fixing the economy, and looking at public services. I'm not saying they are bad points, but I'm saying they wouldn't look out of place in a tory or libdem pamphlet either.

Good grief he's given the chance to cut through in this interview and he fails miserably

My god these setup questions are cringey. Its like when a scientologist interviews Tom Cruise.

32 labour officials, a mixture of MPs and councillors are currently awaiting trial mostly on fraud charges, now that's sleaze.

His father owned a toolmaking factory, a millionaire. I was a toolmaker in a factory on minimum wage. Big difference in the wording.

What about when he pushed his ear forward to show he was a good listener? Embarrassing.

Boris will always win against Starmer, only because he’s authentic. He’s clearly and visibly flawed, but no one cares, because people can relate to him. It really isn’t complex. PS I’ve never voted Tory

Keir so likes listening to the ordinary person that he got his henchman to violently attack a publican whom committed the appalling sin of arguing his point with Starmer.
Honest Keir whom when interviewed on wealth claimed not to be a millionaire. No Pinocchio not exactly, but you are in fact a multi millionaire aren't you? Finally Keir the man who always gets things right. Well in hindsight anyway. Vote for Keir Starmer? I think not.
