I had just recently moved to Nashville 1996 and was invited to a new restaurant and venue Downtown. Larry Carlton, M Omartian, Cee Cee Winnans, The Katina Brothers were on backing vocals and at the end of the amazing performances, Larry Carlton and Omartian led the band closing with this Aja groove!! Phenomenal!!!!

As a kid I would spend weekends at dads and dad had all the Motown and soul etc and...Hendrix and, .... SteelyDan I grew up listening to the 1st 4-5 Steely Dan albums, Aja was one of my favorites so classic and fantastic I had no idea what I was hearing but I knew it was different and special, and just way better than anything else I heard at home, ( mom and stepdad's music...Loveumom).

Their music captivates me every time to this day..

A kid could do a lot worse.
