John Smith arrests Heydrich/Wegener's death - The Man in the High Castle S1E10

Oberst-Gruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich, part of a coup to kill Hitler and defeat Japan, attempts to convince Obergruppenführer John Smith to join the coup and reunite America. Rudolph Wegener, sent by Heydrich to assassinate Hitler, instead commits suicide to prevent a third world war. Smith remains loyal to Hitler, and when he unexpectedly calls Heydrich, John shoots and arrests Heydrich.

The greatest acting in this scene is Heydrich saying "Mein Führer". Total deflation. Micro expressions on point.

I'm normally critical of shows like this but the casting of the 15-20 years older Hitler is absolutely phenomenal. Not only does the actor portraying him look just like him he looks to be about what he would appear as at around 70+ years old. With the grey hair and all.

There were flashes of lights coming from the windows and John Smith immediately seems relax after that. Guess he knew his men were ready...

Anyone notice at 2:26 there is a flicker of light coming from the window? John seems to notice this and looks secretly reassured. I believe that was a signal from Klemm that he was ready to shoot. The irony of Heydrich saying afterward, “No, John. I’m not alone in this.” LOL. Just a fun little detail

Hitler roasting Rudolph was also epic. It's giving him a choice which is the lesser evil:
"Kill me, redeem yourself, but oops you started WW3" or "Spare me and war is averted."

I find it ironic YouTube has a suicide prevention ad for this video. Would YouTube have told Eva and Adolf to call the 988 number before they sat on the couch in the bunker?

Why would Hitler be in a castle. His favorite place to be was his Berkoff mountain retreat in Bavaria. I’m assuming because IRL it was destroyed and they didn’t want to recreate it with CGI.
