No, young farmers need to sell their products directly to their customers. That way they are able to retain all the profits instead of the ‘system’ and being told what someone will pay them !

Young people should not look to enter the farming industry. Farmers are nothing more than a pawn in the hands of large corporations.. One large corporation is selling the farmer his inputs and another large corporation is purchasing the farmers product. Most farms in the U.S. need off farm income to keep from going bankrupt. Farm operations are a 7 days a week 52 weeks a year job. Is this the type of life and income you want for your child? In our society today sending a child into a career of farming should be considered child abuse.
