Here is something older for you: Soft Cell - tainted love

Take a look at my channel for more. There is a bit noise in audio because i used a fan to get some air flow in the box to cool the motors (yes it works really well but i don't need it)

I think of the times I've been at that office alone at 3:30am working on some crucial project, surrounded by computers and I imagine them breaking into spontaneous song like this. It would have convinced me that extraterrestrial live has been visiting the planet and the it has a sense of humor.

This is incredible! I couldn't even get my floppy disks to read my files properly, never mind entertaining me with a song! :)

One of the scariest sounds in the entire world, converted into beautiful music...I'm proud of you

What fascinates me about this is I've seen room sized mechanical music boxes at The House on the Rock and they definitely have a sort of lifeless drone even though they are based on traditional musical instruments. These moppy things create music that actually has a warmth to the interpretation of the songs.

The mind boggles at the time and effort this must have taken to put together.

To whoever spent weeks putting this together: this is time well spent.

This has got to be THE coolest thing I've ever seen done with computer parts!!! I saw this on Huffington Post, and I couldn't stop smiling and jaw-dropping while watching it. lol I love the song, and I love what you did with the disc drives! :) I'd never seen anything like this before. But now that I'm seeing it here, I'm seeing a bunch of links to other videos where other people did something similar. lol How in the world have I missed something like this on YouTube?? lol Great job! Hope to see more of these kind of videos from you! :)

Never did I think that the sound of a floppy drive would actually bring me joy, kudos!

Damn that's so well synchronized. I've seen videos like this where the coordination is off. Here I was seriously feeling the groove. This was excellent.

Those drives must be vibrating fiercely to get that sweet baseline. I wonder if warranty covers this sort of thing, hmmmm.

whoever made this should hook this up to a livesteam and have it activate when someone sends bitcoin.

Love it. Using a lot of drives gets an effect similar to a large pipe organ.

Better music than most of the songs you can buy on iTunes nowadays

Real electronic music ... thank you for this. I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't find an answer: is this made using Moppy and the Arduino itself controls the floppy drives? Pretty, pretty, pretty neat.

Ha, Marc liked it so much, he added vocals.  Tainted Love played by Floppy Disc Drives - now with vocals!
