It's amazing how people can have such confidence in fields they have no expertise in.

She expect 10.000 Dollars and brings the book without a cover or gloves to the store, just like a regular book 😂

Considering she found it in the trash, she might have let it go for a coffee.

I don't know why but i get joy from seeing her overly inflated expectations crushed. (Ofcourse the show is fixed and a work) but hypothetically, one would imagine thats too high an asking price

This is one of the problems I have with the “first edition/signed books market”. It’s great for genuine fans of the book and author, but it can easily become a business for people who don’t care about the book. Only if it’s the first print or signed by a famous author. Books should be judged by their content, not their rarity.

She asked for $10, 000 and it’s worth $20.
That’s the worse I’ve seen 😂

Did anyone else notice that Rebecca and the seller weren't in the shop at the same time, even though the editor pretended they were?

1865? I had no idea it was that old I thought it was early 1900’s. Neat. Learn something new every day.

You could tell by just looking at it that it wasn't a 150+ years old book.

That book was heavily damaged by coloring on the illustrations.
Such a shame to that book.
