I'm watching this 50 hours in to my first playthrough, still new but not fresh. I genuinely enjoyed that overwhelmed feeling this game had when first starting. It was reminiscent of RPGs of yore. Not quite as independent as Morrowind but the game still definitely only holds your hand just long enough. If Elder Scrolls III put a bag over your head and kicked you out of the plane, Starfield at least lets the plane land and tells you good luck before disappearing as if Thanos snapped. Despite all of the negativity, I'm absolutely loving the game so far.

Starfield is a game that doesn’t hold your hand…you make your own fun…it’s truly is an open world sandbox where you can practically be anyone…I feel that most people who hate this game also are the same folks who buy COD every year…the majority of people just don’t have the attention span for roleplaying these days unless it has some sort of shooter looter addiction loop…poor bastards. I love Starfield and am so excited for its future.

I love this game I have well over 300 hours. Every time I play it my friends get offended and talk about how horrible it is. Honestly I've played since launch and have 0 regrets.

Saved for my inevitable return to the world of Starfield! I enjoyed my time with the game at launch, but at around the 30 hour mark I realized it's better if I let it sit for a while. I love to interact with the side content in BGS games, but with Starfield the running from POI to POI on barren planets just took too much time with little to no entertainment. Once we get better ways to travel on planets, whether it be a horizon fly mode to jetpacks or some kind of ground vehicle, I'll be jumping back in.

Dream home is a great starting trait. You get a consistent stream of bounty hunters that you can kill, loot and steal ships from. Also, stealing ships is the best way to make credits. The ship itself isn't huge money, but you also can loot everything inside and from the guys you kill. For the time, this is probably the best money in Starfield.

Love this game! In just 4 days i have put in like 28 hrs. And barely touched the main story. Everything from surveying, research, outpost building, faction quest lines, companion quest line, and to a couple of mission board requests for creds. Love this game. The only thing so far that i don't like is ship stuff and space combat and that's just me

I've always been told if something is repeated 3 or more times it is very important now for one more time use the help menu

One additional tip to 1:50:11 ; vendors won't immediately apply their price to sold goods. So when you sell them buy back in that same transaction (don't close the menu), you don't lose the credits

If you want to up your pack rat skills use heat leaches and portable containers they hold up to 450 cargo and it doesn't weigh you down if you carry it. Its great to use this when in combat so you don't have to walk to gain O2 and you can sprint for longer in combat instead of instantly depleting your O2

Wow, I'm glad I'm only at Lv18 when learning about traits. Idk how I missed this in character creation, but I'm going to start a new save now. This guide was very helpful. I'm not sure what traits to pick TBH. I'm actually thinking about taking Spaced because I think the game is to easy & increasing difficulty mostly just gives enemies more HP, making the game more tedious & you waist more ammo so not supper satisfying. I'm definitely taking wanted. Then, either introvert or empathy. Introvert feels fun for single playthrough but NG+ is bad vs Buff/Nerf from dialog feels really satisfying & better for NG+.

Also with the ammo being weightless you can be at a vendor that sells ammo you can buy all their ammo sell the things that do have weight that you don't want to use anymore and it's kind of like a personal bank method I may not be transferable full value everywhere you go but at least you carry something that's equal to credits on your person to sell when you need to

You didn't mention one of the best Powers available: Anti-Gravity Field. It's amazing!

Basically you stun enemies in a small area in front of you, and they also float into the air, making them easier to target for something like 5 seconds. It was the first power I unlocked. Perfect for bosses and guardians. They can't fight back, and you can unload like 3 full clips on them.

Awesome guide! Thanks for all the research!

Just started the game on gamepass a few days ago and im honestly enjoying it, yeah sure theres things i could complain about, but its a Bethesda game and I like it for that certain jankyness. Helpful guide.

your bounty clearance station should be in the cockpit or crew quarters on your ship so you don't have to jump or land and risk getting caught up.

Great Game, better than STAR WARS online.
31:15....I always thought that the excessive, liteweight items (cups, pens, etc), were there, so we can carry multiple items, to rank up our skills. (COMMERCE SKiLL TREE)
One thing i like to do is, collect folders, notepads and drop these at different doorway enterances...so i don't get confused or lost in the maze of a place....I just follow the (cookie crumbs) markers, and voila, i am out of a place in no time.

The parents actually sort you out with a pretty decent ship at some point too!!

I like the bounty hunter because then you can focus early skills to weapons, defense and other needed early skills

I played over 100 hours and until this video. I didn't realize that the armor could counteract the environmental hazards. FML. Like I saw that the armor said it and I read it. But I somehow didn't add 2 and 2 together. I figured it was like weapon damage protection types.
