this song is so spacey, haunting, sexy, and dystopian- it’s such an experience listening to it. That synth repetitively gradually getting higher throughout the song, the sounds fading in at 3:23, and 1:39 ‘s arpeggio in the background are so crazy, but i really don’t think the song would be the same without them.

i loved britney even in 2007. i mean, yeah i was just as horrified as everybody else when i heard she shaved her head but i still loved her. i just focused on the old her but i never gave up on her. i stayed at the onyx hotel that year in boston too! the staff told me she signed a deal with them 2 call her tour the onyx hotel tour & they had a few autographed pictures of her! they said they'd get one 4 me but they were all out :( the hotel had her foundation room & i got 2 see it! it had her autograph on the wall, a plasma screen, her album certificate 4 in the zone & a lot of other cool stuff. everybody was trying 2 get it so i guess she had a lot of other loyal fans too. i remember in january 2008 one of my teachers in school told me i might wanna let her go when she got taken 2 the mental hospital but i didnt. i was really worried about her but i still loved her then too. i'll always love her! go britney!!!

What a strange album, but incredibly unique. I see why Blackout is a fan favorite. Its definitely an era of britney we never saw again musically, and vastly differebt than the more commercial releases that came after
