i was there watching from up the hill towards the farm did a brilliant were also there that year and they also did a brilliant concert. it seemed like the whole stage was bouncing when they none was as great an act as at the end of the third night after Peter Gabriel and friends had played in 1979 when the Ex Synthesizer player from Gong, Tim Blake played with a huge laser show filling the sky, i was 17 at the time, synthesizers were pretty new at the time and had only just begun to appear on top of the pops, it was like something other worldly about the end of the festival with the synthesizers, the lasers, the weed and the was never the same again and Glastonbury festival became an annual pilgrimage.

One of my absolute favourite singers of the the early 80's [I didn't have many] along with Mari Wilson. She had exquisite tone and timing.
They should have taken the key down a couple of semi-tones for live work. She gets the notes but is having to work too hard in front of a loud, crashing band. This kind of thing seems to disrespect vocalists IMO
