I think of my nephew that has struggled with addiction whenever I hear this song.
Loving an addict is one of the most perfect examples of unconditional love. Watching them slowly destroy everything while you stand by helplessly, but so willing to do anything to help. Knowing exactly what to do to not enable but still show you love him is so hard. I sent him lyrics from this song in texts, cards and messages just to remind him I would never stop loving him, no matter what.

He is one year clean from meth this month.

My Husband, that’s who I think of when I hear this song. He’s a youth pastor and he works and toils so hard for the youth of this generation. Somehow God shows him how to be present for our family and extended teens and young adults. His dreams are my dreams and I’m forever by his side.
