There once lived three great friends- a two ducks and a frog. Once summer, the scorching sun rays dried up their lake, and they decided to leave and look for a new lake.

But the frog could not fly, so, the ducks thought of an idea, where the frog would have to bite on to a stick, which would be carried by the two ducks. The only condition was that the frog should not open its mouth, or it would meet a terrible fate.

Soon, the ducks rose into the sky, with the frog holding firmly onto the stick. “Remember! No talking!” said the ducks to the frog. On witnessing this, animals on the ground started laughing at the unusual sight.

The Gond style of painting is a style of art practised by the Gond Adivasi community in India. Pre-dominantly found in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the community also extends to the states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and Orissa.

The art style can be characterized by the use of lines, dots and spirals to impart a sense of movement and create texture. The subject matter of Gond paintings are colourful descriptions of flora, fauna, daily life and local deities.
