ComfyUI 07 Upscaling Latent and/or Image

This is a ComfyUI Stable Diffusion workflow where we can mix and match latent upscaling with image upscaling (by model). Good results can be achieved with 2x latent followed by 2x image-by-model upscale, but different combinations can be easily created by rerouting some node links, even an intermediate sampler stap can be added.

I just found out that getting more detail while upscaling in ComfyUI is all about noise injection and management, like when to inject what noise and how much. So any workflow without this just makes images bigger but not better. In A1111 I could get detailed upscaled images already with high denoise settings and high tilenet strength but also not consistently, I still don't know what it does differently. Of course when we are talking about "upscaling" in the context of diffusion we actually mean getting very similiar images that have more details and are of a higher resolution.

For those with low vram, note that anything that's going past 1024x1024 (regardless of how you organize the aspect ratio) TIMES a multiplier of 1.5 on the LATENT are likely not going to fit in 8gb vram.

Thank you Rudy for your work ! Can you inform if you know a way to manage regions in the image with different denoise ? Indeed, the latent upscale is changing some details of the image. I would like to keep specific unchanged regions with a lower denoise. Thank you very much !

Maybe you know what I'm missing.... If I made Latent Upscale with Denoise under 1, all images are glitchy and rubbish. When Denoise is 1, then ofcourse it produces different image, not Upscale Version. Any Advice?

What is the actual difference between latent upscale and image upscale? And why not stack many latent upscales instead of just one and then a b series of image upscales? Thanks!
