Or do it with your heel on a plate. And don't wear trainers like that when lifting heavy - use something flat, to prevent rolling forward or back. Plus it has too much cushioning, which means it's just absorbing the energy and weight.

Or just put a small plate below ur heels and stop wearing those shoes when squatting. U can lose balance easy that way

I wear steel toes if going to gym before work and my heels raised when I started doing deep squats. When it happened I was thinking "that don't seem right". 😂 I willed my feet to stay planted. Otherwise I just go bare foot.

First of all it’s not a ankle squat ? And most likely heel rise is a back form problem not ankles
