How Google Maps knows when there's traffic

Google Maps is a very useful tool for navigating your way around the world and getting to your destination as quickly as possible. One way it accomplishes this is by predicting traffic and calculating the fastest route. But how is Google able to accurately monitor all of these cars? The answer may creep you out.

During serious traffic jam, the pace of Motorbike and Car will be different. the data collected can't determine the traffic provider is from Motorbike or Car. so the estimation arrival time will be based on motorbike speed..which is shorter time to arrived then actual.

Google maps is an amazing timesaver. When people complain about being stuck in traffic I tell them to use Google maps or Waze.
