Vray Next for Rhino in Architecture - Creating Architectural Rendering Diagram

Vray Next for Rhino is a great tool for creating architectural diagrams and presenting architectural conceptual designs. In this tutorial, we will be using the existing Vray Next material library and learn how to modify and customize those materials. Then, we are going to cover how to set up your scene lighting by using Vray Dome Light with HDRI image. Lastly, I’ll show you how to quickly populate your model with people and trees using a custom Grasshopper script.

Tried following along but my lighting didn't match, the grid texture didn't do anything, not sure if I had some previous things in VRay that were carrying over. I have the worst to nonexistant success getting any kind of decent render out of the box and I have no idea how to setup a basic render setup before I start trying to do anything like these kind of tutorials.. Very frustrating. Like when you casually said you brought up your map widget, I didn't even know where that was, didn't show up even though I set it up like you did in the earlier part of the tutorial. It just vanished.
