Came here on the search for reasons why I should adapt a cross platform project to use conan. Funny talk, but I still feel I would just obfuscate my project with it. Good clean cmake seems all that is needed, and I don't have any hope to get my (few) depenencies to also comply with conan. Neither do I have the desire to increase my projects number of dependencies (I'd use javascript if I wanted the webpack philosophy) . Actually I am happy most of the time to find a project uses cmake, not some weird collection of .bat, .sh an python scripts. Conan seems like a step into the 'weird' direction again.
