Gotta love maps like this.  Tells you about exploration mindsets.

The first thing I notice is the almost immediate rush to Sag A*.  Followed immediately by a race to Beagle Point.  Shows how the first thought in the exploration mindset is to go as far away as one can.  Then this is followed by routing the edge of the spiral arm in the NE quadrant.    Then, as things fill in, you can see someone edge-tracing the right side at a slow pace.  Slow being relative considering the distances involved. 

Overall, this is very telling about how we might expand into space, given the ability.  The Colonia area ended up creating an artificial point of interest for expansion, and you can see some of the routes that tag on the inhabited mini-outposts on the way to it that crop up like gas stations on a highway.  By the time I pause the video just before it cuts off, the map fill is pretty robust, and there are some serious POIs indicated by the noise.

Is the massive explosion of data round 0:37 when they added Star Coordinates to the logs so it meant you had location data for every entry instead of just ones manually triangulated?

Does the "Systems" number count only newly discovered systems or does it include repeated systems?

Yeah, it's time for FDEV to introduce an special gateway to a completely new galaxy or stuff like that. People buying the game in 2021 do also want to explore new places in the world.
