【GS】There Will Be Blood | Mep part [Looped + Comparison]

Helloooo. Is it still Halloween mep part sharing hours? 🐺

I've always had this idea in the back of my mind of turning a character into a werewolf for a spooky theme, but it wasn't until this year that I went and joined my very first Halloween MEP!! I've been missing out on this all my editing life, dear god, I now completely get why so many people hype up this time of the year! Y'all know what's good, this is so much fun!!

But why Bakugou you might ask? Oh boi, let me give ya a few reasons why now let me :3c It was honestly all thanks to Amily! Some time ago she showed us a BNHA Halloween AU art piece she was working on with Bakugou as a werewolf – That sight hasn't been able to leave my mind since, and so I HAD to make it happen! And also because 1. Bakugou being a werewolf would explain is anger management issues cause, you know, wolfs are wild animals and he's a wild boi and 2. He was honestly the only character I could think of with scenes that’d fit the concept I had in mind- He never cried y'all, in that episode he was just trying to warn Deku he was actually a werewolf. Yes. I'm ok after having watched that episode again because of this part.. Why do you ask haha

Now for the concept! This one's pretty straight forward since I couldn't dedicate much of my time into editing (I blame all my assignments and midterms *cries in university student*), so I ended up only working on it for 3-4 days.
Here’s the storyline I came up with: In said episode Bakugou tells Deku to come outside with him so they can talk, right? What they didn’t want to show us in that episode is that Deku ends up following Bakugou into the woods of course! As a crescent moon raises above both of them, and Bakugou realizes he's about to transform into a werewolf, he desperately tries to explain everything to Deku – I like to think he’d warn him as he tried to apologize for all his actions towards Deku cause I’m a sucker for wholesome bits okay. The moon now begins to turn into a full moon. The moonlight shines down on Bakugou and his wolf appearance starts showing through (I tried to show that with the moonlight going from a crescent to a full moon.. I hope someone noticed that aaaa). Once full moon hits, Bakugou has completely transformed into his werewolf form!
And in what circumstances does he transform, and can he control it? I’d say when in days a new moon progressing is happening his control over his human-wolf and werewolf forms gets progressively difficult. During the first days he’d be able to go in and out of his human-wolf form, that meaning him still being human but having his ears and tail out, but as it gets closer to a full moon he starts losing control over that human-wolf state and, ultimately, he completely transforms into a werewolf when under the effect of a full moon's light. And of course, when in a full moon progressing he slowly gains back his tolerance peaking control over his "powers" when new moon hits.

To finish this off let’s talk about the footage/fx. I really didn’t do anything that out there since my main goal was to make it as realistic as possible! All the backgrounds and elements I created were made up from other BNHA scenes and the wolf/werewolf bits are from Beastars. As for the coloring / transitions / general motion, I took inspiration from all the other mep participants!! Since I went with a different route for my mep part I wanted to make sure it would still fit in, so seeing everyone’s work really helped me with the finishing touches! Therefore, this mep part is especially dedicated to the GS cuties ♡ There’s an element of each participant in my part so I really should be thanking them all! Y’all are amazing and I luv u bery much~

I'M LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS it's incredible!!! Caty Caty Caty, my god you are so dang cool and creative! Everything looks so cohesive and smooth even when the sources are two completely different animes, with completely different art styles even! I'm going to SCREAM I love this part so much! Especially the little touches like the moon's shape affecting how complete the transformation is.
I'm really enjoying reading through your thought process too and how you came to creating this, and I really love the lore/backstory you've come up with about his transformation. It's so fun to read and adds an even more interesting element to the story you portrayed here. ♥
