After hearing about the 3 instances where guests had to get the vehicle towed due to the same overheating issue, I understand Turo point. Might be best to sell it.

200K is pretty high for a rental. I would not want to rent a vehicle with that much miles.

Seems like that car has been good to you.. and you’ve made your money sell and buy another and get back on the grind 💯💪🏾❤️

bro you literally had multiple over heating issues with a car over 200k miles. i makes perfect sense its actually like they told you its unreliable. its just time to replace it.

Keep your head up man. Sounds really frustrating. I dealt with someone cancelling this morning and ditching the vehicle because it was "unsafe" come to find out they were driving it with the parking brake on! Man. People think this job is easy lol. Keep going brother 👊

Tony, appreciate you dropping this video.
Both of my cars got delisted, no check engine light or tire issues, just had Tune ups done on both a month ago. Turo reason is BS. I called Turo and yep said this affecting some 2000 cars. I paid cash for my 2cars and just bought a third for the platform, but not doing it now, feel bad for those that financed cars and now have no income to offset that expense.
Cold move by Turo not caring about the host.
They will keep purging and hurting host. They should given Host a chance to rectify issue and grandfathered the good cars like your Durango. Done with Turo
Horrible way to treat their Host.

It’s frustrating but I have learned they rarely reverse their decisions. I say sell it and move on while it still has value

A hater reported. Keep moving forward, you got this!

3 times for the same issue is pretty high. You fixed it though. I think they should send you a warning, that if the vehicle goes down for the same issue again you won’t be able to list it than. Otherwise I don’t think they are very unreasonable.

Toni I'm always on your side but in this case, 3 overheating issues for guest and over 200K miles, it's time to remove this vehicle from your fleet and sell it and replace it with a more reliable car. Think about it from a business standpoint, if you were Turo, it would be in their best interest. Let it go, cut it loose, sell it and move on and find your next profitable vehicle.

Tony, in the future when you get the run-around, contact your resident/business state's AG, and the AG of the state that Turo is registered in and file a formal complaint. You'd be surprised the sense of urgency this instills. Also, with the FTC banning non-competes (as if they gave anyone a leg to stand on in the first place lol), promote your private business with every rental you get through Turo. Make a business card or flyer that explains how much Turo takes from you and how much it would be appreciated if the rental was direct. Good luck!

I can understand your frustration, but yes, Turo has their rules in place for a reason. A car that has 200, 000 miles, anything can happen to it at any given time and Turo won’t risk that or their reputation for one super host. I guess that’s just the way it works. I would unload it as quick as you can, get the most for it and pick up a slightly newer one maybe a 2019 or 2020. Good luck and great job with your business and the videos.

Dodge vehicles are notoriously unreliable and not known for their longevity. The car in question has had 3 different incidents of overheating in less than 6 months. I really like your channel and your hustle but I do think Turo is correct and has a right to take off vehicles they deem not appropriate to continue being listed. Seems to me your time and efforts would be better spent focusing on moving forward versus fighting this decision. In terms of renting a car with 200k miles, I would gladly rent a Toyota/Honda/Acura/Lexus with those miles. I would definitely not trust a Dodge. With all do respect that’s all just my humble opinion. Hopefully the car is paid off, it would be best to sell it. Good luck!

You're a good businessman. And from that one time meeting you at the Summit I can see you're a really nice person too. This is time to start your own rental company and give this one on private rentals. When a door closes another opens. Don't sell it now that the problem is solved. The way I see it is now you have a car to do a side business with. Reach out to Max as he has the private rental game figured out to the science! Good luck!

The problem with high mileage vehicles is the wear and tear on everything you didn't mention. The overheating was supposed to be the universe warning you to do deeper maintenance especially on something with that high amount of miles. The water pump failure is almost notorious in most cars after 100K miles, leaking radiator same thing wear and tear over prolonged use. I also didn't hear you say you replaced the suspension (shocks, struts, control arms, sway links, etc), changed potential engine seals that may have deteriorated, done your plugs and potentially the injectors, etc. Break pads tires and oil changes are the absolute minimum of vehicle maintenance and I just went through this issue with another All-star host, 150K miles on an Escalade but the car ran extremely poor. As soon as I hit 70 MPH you could tell the wheels weren't balanced, alignment was off, although no lights were on the car it didn't necessarily run smooth, these things all matter and an oil change and new tires won't fix that.
