A sigh of relief in Contra Costa County that the wind storm was not as damaging as it could have been, but for thousands the lights are still off. About 17,000 customers have been without power since about 8 p.m. Sunday. Thom Jensen reports.

They shut off my power for nearly 24 hours, half my town is still dark after nearly 36 hours. There was no extreme weather here, but they kept it off anyways. This was a smoke screen to cover the states mismanagement of the energy grid.

Good thing electricity was privatized...yeah yeah...never had this BLACK OUT RATIO prior to handing over our PUBLIC SERVICES TO A PRIVATE CORPORATION'S bottom line. How sweet$$$$.
