wow, not what i was expecting to heat when you said a birth defect you wouldnt know about. i thought spina bifida was always noticeable if not for the visual bulging then symptoms from the damaged nerves, scary. for me, i was born with a hiatal hernia which is of course invisible (stomach is pushed up above the diaphragm). started getting gerd symptoms by the time i was about 11. found out through upper endoscopy the cause at 20. kind of cool to learn about anatomy and genetics and all the beautiful ways things go to work properly to keep you alive, and what can happen when even one little error occurs. that and autism lmao which is considered a birth defect and was somehow invisible to all my adults for 20 years as well 💀
