I'm a foreigner who never quite got my head around the coding system.
All coding has achieved as far as we are concerned is we had to go out and buy another car to use when we couldn't use our main car.
Without coding we would have one car being used 7 days a week. Daughter and son in law sharing the use and using taxis and jeeps where necessary.
With coding we went out an bought a 2nd car.
So instead of reducing traffic on the roads one day a week, coding has increased traffic on the roads 6 days a week.

Just do the odd even scheme for the whole of Metro Manila. No exceptions for EV and Hybrid. Even motorcycles and Government vehicles will be covered. Do it 24 hours. 50% reduction of vehicles on the streets everyday.

It will not be much of easing the traffic bcoz the rich people will only buy more cars and therefore won’t lessen the number cars in the streets specially in EDSA!

Malabo rin yung odd even na yan lalo na kung 24 hrs since may mga night shift, pano kung 10 pm (monday) start ng trabaho tas 6 am (tuesday) yung out mo? pano mo na mauuwi kotse mo non since tuesday coding ka na di mo maalis doon ng hindi magiging coding??? halatang minadali di pinagisipan. At kung sabihin naton bawas kotse yan dagdag naman pila hahaba sapat ba yung transpo natin para maasikaso mga dadagdag na tao mag cocommute. Also pano mga grab o angkas na kotse mababawasan rin lalo na edsa kailangan mo daanab para makapunta sa ibat ibang lugar.

instead of limiting car lanes while repairing the bus lane, why not take use the motorcycle lane for other motor vehicles?

This is very simple to solve. Each violator gets 10k penalty instead of 2k. You will see a huge drop of violations. If they cannot pay, the vehicle will be impounded.

Sa mga magrereklamo ng high penalty, bakit? may balak kayong mag violate ng traffic laws? The only people who are against increased penalties are people who are planning to violate the said penalties.
