Join me during my travel to Sicily in Italy, were we will discover the city over Catania, the Etna Volcano and Taormina at the seaside! Each episode that will be released has another topic or content it focuses on. The scenery, experience, is simply fascinating and unforgettable.

I flew into Sigonella Naval Air Station back in 1981, that base is located next Catania Sicily.
We flew over the ice cap Mt Etna Volcano with plenty of burnt black lava mix in ice.
When we landed in Sigonella Naval air station, we were told not to travel into Catania.
Because Catania was known for it's high murder rate since it was controlled by the
Sicilian Mafia.
So instead we checked into our barracks and decided to go to the EM Club for some brewskis!
The EM Club had a restaurant where I will admit till this day, that I was able to eat the best tasting pizza
ever. We stayed there till midnight then headed back to our barrack! and upon arriving.
There was two notes taped on the door informing us to be at the airport at 5 o'clock in the morning.
Those Navy adventure stories are never dull! I had brought me a small amount of Thai stick back from Ocean
Beach San Diego. So me and my temporary roommate blazed one joint and we were in stone city heaven..
That is when my roommate told me that we were going to fly over the Mediterranean Sea and land on the flight deck
of a bird farm by the name of USS Forrestal. Let the Nightmare Begin?
