Ellen welcomed 18-year-old Sivert and his mom Lorna, who offered her then 12-year-old son $1,800 to stay off social media until he was 18. She explained why she made the bet and he shared what it was like to spend his teen years without social media accounts. Then, Ellen gave him a chance to win money for his college education by doing some viral internet challenges that he may have missed out on over the years.
