Why would anybody be unhappy, only 24, Republic of Ireland international, experienced championship player he got 10 goals in 36 appearences for hull last season, finally experienced striker

Decent signing imo. 8-10 goals is a decent return in the championship and could make a massive difference especially if coming off the bench. If someone had said last season there’s an experienced championship striker available on a free with eight goals in the previous season, every fan would have snapped their hands off.

Also worth mentioning that the the last time we had a Connolly upfront we won the championship.

The only problem i have is i think we should've signed him months ago cos i always thought to myself if we're not willing to invest on a ready made striker u might as well sign Connolly on a free, personally I'm happy with this cos he's very experienced for a 24 year old, plenty of games in the prem and championship and with the way we play i think he'll suit Le Bris style of play cos he is very direct and has a bit of pace about him, similar to Roberts and Clarke this could be the right place to get his career back on track and show his true and full potential

This type of transfers worked well with Roberts and Clarke like you mentioned. Also took a punt on Huggins and Cirkin due to their injuries and they look great when they're playing. If a player can get past an issue like injuries or find the right club we could have a great
signing.

Connolly is a player who will be useful squad player but nothing more as an Irish fan he has been underwhelming so far but hopefully he will reach near his potential with us

Think his attitude thinking he’s billy big bollox and partying has got him to a point where he’s been released and had a huge crash down to earth no club no wage and a humbling. Just hope he’s ready to graft have the right attitude and work ethic now to kick on. He’s been given a massive opportunity with us in an exciting young team that could get promoted. He’s been given a year to prove himself and could be a premier league player next season if he puts the work in. Just hope they arnt afraid to drop him or even just release him there’s ya money if any of that attitude peaks its head we don’t need it.

It's a great opportunity for him, he'll not get a better offer. If his attitude is bad he'll be soon found out and he'll spend his career in the National League.
