Microsoft has fixed this issue with a new KB5010793 update, please install that update (from windows updates or manually) to fix this VPN issue.

Also, is there a third-party alternative to the Windows VPN that would work?

I use the VPN to connect to a remote computer at an office of a non-profit organization to help them as a volunteer. I do not use it to surf the net.

Hello I'm having this issue but I can't find that update installed because I have a preview version of windows 11 since my computer will not be able to run windows 11, I hope you can help

I uninstalled KB50009543 some days ago. However, I am still getting the l2tp problem.

I did install the latest patch from MS, though.

I am on Windows 10 Home. Version 21H2. OS build: 19044.1469
