My friend was a non hijabi Muslima for our whole 20 years of friendship. During COVID she turned toward Allah and became more devoted to her worship. She began wearing Hijab and i was so happy for her. She looked beautiful and happy. I am not Muslim but I can recognize religious succor and congratulated her on her new found devotion. Its really easy to be happy for our sisters.

It's about choice. It would be near impossible for me to see something forced on me as a symbol of freedom. But telling someone they can't wear something that they want to wear defeats the point of free choice. Wear what you want to, and try to listen to people who are different from you.

Sidra, I don't think you should joke about being pregnant on a video like this after discussing such a sensitive topic because, yes, multiple women in muslim countries are forced to wear hijab etc and you are in a secular western country, nobody is forcing/stopping you to wear the niqab but why are you constantly broadcasting it to everybody?

There's a significant difference between pregnancy and hijab if you may. Fertility or infertility is not by choice but hijab is. The same way you don't contribute to a rainy weather being rainy but you contribute to war when you shop from brands that support war. You see ? No one should make you feel responsible for the weather but you can be questioned for what you contribute to by choice.
