Everyone should be held accountable, even from those who you deeply admire.

Honestly $15 still isn't enough to survive as a single person in SoCal :/

Go back in time and show this to a person in 2016 and they'll look at you like you're crazy.

Look, it's easier to say "I don't care how much damage I cause by voting against this, " than it is to care. When you care, you have to choose to compromise with the people who don't care. When you don't care, you don't care, so you don't feel remorse for your actions. When you care, you have to live with the decisions you make.

Looking forward to Mehdi having Manchin on. I hope he can get him on before Manchin knows who he is.

Bernie may have lost the presidential race twice in a row but he has affected so much change in those 6-7 years. He saw the Overton window, didn't like the way it looked at him and smashed it to pieces. He was the only candidate in 2016 to run on universal healthcare and just 4 years later everyone pretended to have their own version of that just so they stood a chance. Every new Progressive in office today/ apiring to be in office tomorrow got massive support thanks to his exposure. He a real one.

When it only takes one to say 'no' and a bill fails, that's not democracy.

Bernie, “We can’t get everything we want”... those on the left, “could you at least make a serious attempt?”

Hasan is asking questions all journalist should be asking.

Mehdi Hasan has been doing a lot of good stuff, this is more like the sort of stuff you see on UK news, adversarial questioning. I also like Bernie but every politician should be challenged.

Well not gonna lie, that's surprising from an MSNBC host.

A surprise, but a welcome one.

I saw this live last night. I was glad to see it. Even politicians we like need to be held to account, especially Bernie Sanders, who is the ideological grandfather of the modern progressive movement in the U.S.A. His answers were wholly unsatisfying, but we were able to hear them thanks to a good-faith line of tough questioning from Hasan, very welcome.

Well Kamala went to WV and called Manchin out on local TV and he caved. Maybe they'll have to do it again🤷‍♀️

This is why I watch this channel. Your criticism of Bernie is real and comes from a place of love. Here for it. Let’s hope our man Bernie can make some real change happen for working class middle Americans.

The reason why Joe Manchin can hold up legislation in a way that Bernie can't is the corporate apparatus around Joe. If it isn't Manchin it would be another corporate Dem or a filibuster or some other legislative issue. I urge caution when criticizing Bernie here because the power dynamics make this comparison unfair.
