The Olympus TG 870 Tough is a great camera for vlogging, I own one and use it to vlog with all the time. Overall you get a lotta bang for your buck and the security that if you drop it out of your hand onto a hard service or water, that it is not going to break. I go kayaking and I did buy the flotation strap for it so that if I accidentally dropped it in the water I would not lose it. I love this camera and I also did a review of this camera on my channel. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone who wants to vlog or even the adventurer that goes out hiking, climbing, kayaking or mountain biking. Its a great camera in my opinion.

I think that you will find that if you look on nikon.com the AW130 does have a backlit CMOS. Also it has a mechanical shutter and an electronic CMOS shutter.
The big problem with a lot of comparison sites and video's is that the facts are not checked out from the manufacturers own sites.
I have found that there is a lot of misinformation out there.

i have the AW130 and the lumix dmc f5/f6 both and so far the Aw 130 is much better more features and clearer movie and still
also there is a pause in the movie mode you can stop and then continue with the same movie when you want to and you can take still pictures while you are taking a movie with out interrupting the movie
also you can charge the battery in the camera or in a cradle
there are a few more things i like about it
but i am thinking of trying the TG 870
