Thanks for this and this’s really a great content for the youngsters. HY is a really good role model of being one of the women in finance and giving the motivation that everyone can do it. I totally understand the self doubt feeling of “I ain’t good enough” or “am I really capable to do it” but when we really get determined to do it and progress time to time it’s really worth the efforts. Kudos to both of you and let’s continue to improve and be better. ❤

I find her claim quite strange. She mentioned losing six figures at the age of 24 or 25, yet her salary was only RM 3, 000 per month. Even assuming she saved every penny and invested the entire amount monthly, it seems unlikely she would have accumulated a six-figure sum by that age. Based on the numbers, her statement doesn’t seem entirely truthful. Just my two cents.

This is such a great podcast, a lot of knowledge and experiences being shared.
I recently started a business with my girlfriend and I have been worried seeing my savings drop because of business expenses. Not much, maybe around 7%. But, I get very anxious because I've always been someone that saves EVERYTHING (RM 100 or lesser per month on spending). Now I know that I'm still young, I shouldn't be focusing so much on saving but focus more on my active income. Really appreciate it being a local podcast. Thank you!

How does HY lose 100k if her salary then only 3k? Margin account? And how did you manage to recover from this loss?

Heard you mentioned that you are not sure why your friend purchased an insurance investment plan and paying higher than yours?
I suggest you look for someone professional in the life insurance planner to get a full understanding the purpose & how it benefits you. Cause as a financial profession like you should need to understand how insurance can be part of your planning to help you transfer the impact of financial crisis in the event when you are forced to stop or unable to perform your own daily duties due to serious illness.. medical insurance is just play a part to help you take care of hospital bills ONLY..
where else your living expenses and cost of living may impacted badly during that period, so you may want to look into income/living protection insurance plan to help take care on those expenses.
