To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Late Night with Seth Meyers on February 24, this week we're highlighting one clip from each year the show has been on the air.

From August 21, 2020: Seth largely spent 2020 hosting Late Night from an attic, and during this period he introduced audiences to his new friends, including a painting of a sea captain. As a farewell to the remote show era, the Sea Captain and other new attic pals said goodbye with a shanty.

Watch Late Night with Seth Meyers Weeknights 12:35ET/11:35c on NBC.

I miss the sea captain. The at home episodes during quarantine kept me sane.

I have to say: during Corona, I think this show was the best of all of late night.

The pandemic shows were the ones that really brought out the best of Seth. The shows were so full of gentleness and kindness and goofiness and silliness. These were the things we needed most and what elevated LNSM to the absolute top of late night. It's truly amazing how many people post that this is the show that kept them sane during quarantine. Certainly true for me. How can this show not have any Emmys?!

I don't think Seth realizes how much he helped so many of us. My hope is to find someone who knows him so I can find some way to help him out one day. One of the few reasons I'm still functioning is knowing I had corrections to wait for every Friday.

This sketch helps me in the darkest moments. Just remembering it does. "I promise there'll be morning, if we make it through the night". Thank you.

Ill never forget you, Sea Captain. Truly the best thing to come out of the Covid Era

This goodbye was so touching. Seth really made a cozy space for us in that time, with the callbacks, goofiness, and showing us he was also struggling in that attic.
Bring back the duck! 🐾🐾💙

I had just gotten separated when covid hit so I was in isolation alone with just my pets for months. I don't think I can convey how much Seth kept me sane during that time, yes for the enjoyment of the show but also the community that was created here. Thank you to everyone.

I think the Sea Captain needs to make a guest appearance.

I loved every minute of Seth’s fall into madness with the Sea Capt. it really helped to have just silly stuff to laugh at when times are hard. 😊

Seth, you deserve the Congressional Medal of Honor or something equivalent for how you handled the pandemic. You created a fun little (big?) community, and we love you for it.

During the pandemic, Seth and Late Night were one of the main highlights of my day. Sea Captain, Thornbirds and the hornets. I genuinely teared up for this ep. Thank you to Seth and his team for making those awful months so much more bearable.

If I'm being 100% honest, Seth was the only one who did Late Night talk shows right during the quarantine.

I became a jackal during the attic shows. Seth leaned into the insanity of the moment, and in doing so, grounded us all (in the best possible way). While those episodes remain pure unhinged genius, I think the real magic may have been the community that Seth & his team fostered online with the polls and YouTube channel. This comment section was - is - the only one I regularly look forward to reading. Y’all were my water cooler convo in dark days, and I was and am so grateful for it. Of all the late night shows, Seth has the most engaged fans IMHO, and I am delighted to count myself one. Shanty on, O Captain! My Captain! (And I totally read The Thorn Birds)

I have always enjoyed Seth and the show, but during the pandemic and the home shows I really came to love Seth and the writers and everyone dedicated to making things suck less. It truly was a horrible, magical and in some ways wonderful time.

There were so many great memories in there and so much fun. I still remember the first time I noticed the books were changing place and I was questioning my own sanity. Seth, it was the perfect mirror of the weird time we lived in!

I really enjoyed all those episodes, everyone was special. I think that at least once a year, do "Back in my Day" in the attic with the Sea Captain.

We were all losing our minds back during the first days of the pandemic and the misadministration!! Thanks for being there with us!! The Sea Captain skits were batshit crazy and a reflection of what we were all going through!! Here's to another 10 years of Late Night with Seth Meyers!!
