I'm always so careful with these. I keep my rare fish in a chest, always make sure I have at least 2 of the minerals I donate and plant rare seeds in the greenhouse. I separated the greenhouse in 2 and use 1 half as an emergency farmland and the other is for ancient seeds.

i got really lucky early on, and got the quarry bridge pretty early. I broke one of the swirly stone thingys (i need sleep lmao, idk what it's called) and got a prismatic shard. I was trying to romance elliot, and i saw it was on his loved gifts.
I GAVE MY FIRST PRISMATIC SHARD TO A BACHELOR WHO WOULD'VE REACTED THE SAME TO CRAB CAKES AND DUCK FEATHERS

The people who haven’t accidentally cooked legendary fish sashimi either knew about it and stored it in a chest or stored it in a chest, they weren’t lucky just because they stored it in a fridge

Fun fact: if ever you play on stardew valley mobile you can get your donate items. By placing it near the top roght corner of the room and zooming enough that you can both press the item and the X button

The first time I got prismatic shards, I got two of em in one day and when I checked the fortune teller that day it said "The spirits are unhappy today, fortune will not be in your favor"

I never got caught by the legendary fish in fridge one, My first playthrough I kept almost everything in chests outside my house and only put the animal products I wanted to cook with inside, and in my other playthroughs I only ever added moving the fruit and veg inside as well, my fish are still ussually just kept in chests outside and I'd only bring them in if I was planning to cook them, and even then the legendary fish had their own box.
My most recent playthrough even has my character making a fishpond farm with a pond for each fish (I am not a minmaxer so I don't care that lava fish are the most profitable or whatever so I'll just fish one up from a 10 fishes fish pond when I need one for food
