The wood's raw finish looks a bit rustic for my liking . But it is extremely functional.

8/10. (9.5/10 if he gave it a full black paint job like the monitor stand/console)

I don't understand the need for these setups although it does look cool I'm not jealous yeah I give him props for this but that's just too much money just for playing video I would just get a nice decent monitor and gaming rig

The setup is amazing, but it's also a waste. Having money should not be a reason to be this decadent. What in earth does a 16 yo do with his setup?
