Did you know PowerPlex’s powers are actually extremely broken
His powers originate from biotherm discs that he stole from the GDA and implanted into his own body, giving him the ability to absorb all forms of energy and convert them into electricity blasts
So for most heroes, he can basically tank whatever attack they throw at him and charge up enough electricity to knock them out
PowerPlex is only limited by his suit’s durability which is able to take hits from ShapeSmith and Invincible without any noticeable damage to Scott himself although who knows how well it will hold up against a true heavy hitter like Conquest
The only other way to stop him is to fully restrain him until he uses up all of his stored energy

Might need to re-watch/reread there. You're missing the introduction where the kid punching his hands playfully generated a small electric ball BEFORE the discs. They are organic batteries that boost his inate abilities

He had a low grade energy storing/conversion ability, he got a job at the gda in hopes of getting something that would help booost his powers. And he did.

Its something that isnt in the very forefront of the series but there are many people with powers in the invincible world thst dont do anything or are capable due to the power not being that grandiose

Anyone else imagine a really badass scene where, as a way of redemption, power plex goes up against conquest (or something) and it pretty much becomes a battle of will? Like conquest is repeatedly beating on power plex while power plex is doing max output just to keep from reaching his capacity?

Yeah but keep in mind Invincible do not want to kill anyone, on the other hand Conquest for example would just go to tear gim apart so thats huge difference, Invincible kinda reminds me of Spider-Man with keeping his strenght back

In the show he was born with them, and uses the disc to emplify them
