Today I set out to go to an estate sale but instead ended up at a huge community wide yard sale. I had virtually no competition because it wasn't well advertised and I ended up scoring some awesome stuff like videogames, vintage clothing, lego, toys, collectables, and more. I was asked recently if I was a reseller at a sale. I told the guy I was. He told me he also was and the sale was his death pile. I found some items to buy and he contacted me after the sale to buy his leftovers. It worked out! Best to be honest.

People usually ask what I'm looking for more so than if I'm a reseller. I do tell people I resell and it's never gone bad. I do ask them in return if they are too or if they are just trying to get rid of stuff or make money. Be kind and courteous and you'll usually get the same in return. That and don't need to low ball every single deal especially when it's already a really good deal. That's how I know when I do my garage sale how to spot a reseller lol.

I tell people who ask if I am a reseller that I collect. That has worked well for me. Some people don't take kindly to resellers. I just don't see the need to provide that information when asked. Avoid the hassle and drama. I do collect items at garage sales as well.

Congrats on rolling up on it. I got lucky and found with some sleuth work. Went Thursday and Saturday (sales were sparse elsewhere Saturday so I went back) and crushed it both days. There were so many sales even in two days I couldn’t hit them all. Bartlett was a good one!
