Thank goodness for Youtube, there are many Barry Harris teaching videos out there. He has been off my radar until recent months, whyI don't know, but now I need a nightly fix of this guy, I don't think any pianist can get into harmony deeper than than him. I also wonder if Mr Harris in his younger years could have made a couple of vocal albums? If you watch the Youtube video ' feeling the and ', about 5 minutes in he starts singing Misty. He does not know all the words, scats a bit, but his version, short as it was, was just damn perfection. RIP Barry Harris.

It's so emotional to see a person play with such passion. What a master Mr. Harris is. I wish to meet him one day. He is one of the old cats trying to save the good jazz. His way of teaching not only gets you into good jazz harmony and possibilities, it makes you understand music so much better!

Just love what he does between 1:14 and 1:20, especially that little change up riff right at 1:20! Not a musician, so I call it a riff, for lack of a knowledge and understanding of music theory and how to play any instrument at all. An old master at play, indeed.
