2013 Nissan 370Z Review - Japanese Muscle

I never took the Nissan 370Z seriously as a true performance car until I drove Leonard's MY2013. With just bolt-ons and budget coilovers, this car surprised me with its predictable handling and satisfying driver controls. Just count how many times I said "pleasantly surprised" in the video. But seriously, the new Z can't come early enough. Fun section begins at 6:29.

I have a 2019 370Z sport coupe 6M and love the car. What I discovered about the blind spots is that if you take the time to get all three of your rear-view mirrors aligned properly you can effectively eliminate the blind spots.

Thanks to all my subscribers for the support, as always! If there's a car you'd like to see me review, please let me know. I'll try to get my hands on one.

I appreciate your honesty in the reviews, for some people it would be uncomfortable to criticize different aspects of a car while the owner is in it, but a review is worthless if it´s not honest.

Seriously fun car to drive. It has enough power to get you in trouble, but a good enough chassis to keep you out of it most of the time. The manual trans in these is one of the best out there. I've never understood people's complaints about the sound of the engine. I think it sounds fantastic. I'm not sure why he's getting such poor fuel economy. Mine hits right at the EPA number, even cruising at 70.

If you never took a Z as a true performance car you are a fool.

“Relatively cheap budget coilovers” BC coils is one of the best bang for your buck coilovers

That exhaust note is just music to my ears.

I also didn't like the 370z when I first drove it in 2009, because I was coming out of a s2000. Now I really like it, because it feels so much more connected and raw than modern cars. Plus I feel like the amount of power is almost perfect for the road. Finally, the Recaro seats in the Nismo are awesome. I liked them so much, I put some Recaro Sportster GTs in my Audi TTS. I wish my Audi had the steering of the 370z.

I own a 2012 6mt 370z. I think the Japanese muscle car statement is a bit overused. This car has independent rear suspension, an lsd, can pull a G in a corner, etc. I've always thought of it as a budget Porsche Cayman s. Nowhere near as refined but in that sense it's in a segment of its own. Kind of like how a grand Cherokee is in a segment of its own as a budget Range Rover of sorts.

Another great review! I'm hoping u get to review a bmw e30 preferably the 325is with the lsd curious to hear your break down of the driving dynamics! Just love how thorough you are at reviewing the driving dynamics

good review -- but man! -- I have base 2015 and at 60mph on highway I get 29-30! I get 26 at 80mph and  get 20mpg playing 0-60 stop-light racer. Whew-- lucky me.

Is it just me or does it feel like dad letting his son drive a car for the first time he doesn’t drive it like he owns it.
