Love the video! One thing besides the pillar set up that someone else mentioned is that i use short stairs to help elevate turrets. So i put a short stair down in the middle of a tile, then a tile on top, then my heavy turrets can fit on top. Also helps to make sure the autoloader can see it! Also using angled tiles for turrets that are high up, they can attach to angled tiles and the firing angle will be better!

This is so damn helpful thank you. My current build is only ground floor and roof. Waiting on ATC extensions and at least 3 CIWS so I can fight Kronos for first time. Got the Knight mk.1 and had to just put it on the roof but can do snow ruins 2 without much difficulty, made 32k gold last tour with an event that gave 200% material value and another was 100% valuables gold.

Great video, thanks for putting out information to new players. A couple of key factors weren't mentioned though. The core does not need to be on ground level since stairs work both ways. This allows you to stack armored walls under it and give it a health boost. The same thing for tiles. If you want to raise an important tile's HP build 4 armored walls under it and it should get +200 per connected wall up to 900 HP. If you put another armored wall in the middle of the 4 walls you can get it up to 1100. Another thing to keep in mind is upgrade, Upgrade, UPGRADE your turrets. A single CIWS is better than three machine gun turrets combined and will waste far less ammo. This is hyperbolic, but mostly true. I currently have a ring of low tier turrets around my base that I use as a "just in case" with my autoloaders focused solely on more advanced turrets. With a core power of 1300 machine gun turrets struggle to get through even scorpions at Normal Lvl 4, but CIWS chews right through them. I recently upgraded my core power to 2800, but haven't gotten to test it out yet. Perhaps with enough core power the basic turrets will be more useful, but I find focusing the ammo run around game on the harder hitting and faster firing turrets just makes things easier.

One thing I don't think I heard you mention is that you can, if you wish, start your core tower above ground level. You can put things like advanced armoured walls or pillars under it as supports and it raises it by a level. And also boosts its health points.

11:03 another addition, its good to have 1or 2 ciws to max range and target only missiles . this way you're other ones are not switching between tagets

This game is such a weird experience! It's so many genres at once and I love it!

just 1 word, PILLAR, it will completly change your builds once you learn how to 100% utilize it

3 Pillars next to each other can fit 3 batteries or 4 generators per side(2 sides)
Math per generator is: (connected pillar count - 1) * 2 * sides ... 21 pillars can fit 80 generators (21 - 1) * 2 * 2 ... thats 800 core power in 7 tiles
Math per battery is: floor(connected pillar count / 3) * 3 * sides ... 21 pillars can fit 42 batteries (21/3) * 3 * 2
it also gives 3x Structure bonus 2 so +600hp to anything connected + floor and ceiling

Limiting thing is slabs, you can find few per mission, around 20 per tour, but you can craft them with 1x fiber 2x ore, so you can boost it to like 40 per tour

I make a "storage s'more" 1big crate per 9 small crates and stack them either horizontally.
It'll be big crate on or next to a large crate.

(Also Side note i know you haven't touched this game in a minute in your videos, but do you have any base ideas for thw Loot Lords among the community. A Base that optimizes and maximizes looting output?

Hi I have got all the research unlocked and am building up to build the last types of turrets. Just some info to do with the automation you need advanced ammo makers and advanced autoloaders to have completely automated ammo delivery. The advanced autoloader grabs ammo in a area (pretty much a utility tile size) and will pull ammo from that area into itself. The issues with moving CIWS range down is they are very important for knocking missiles down from bosses and tank spam. Also in case you don't know the 105mm artillery needs to be in direct mode and auto shoot to auto target (don't know if it works for others). If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also the dismantler is the only way to get gold from gear as they sell for insurance points.

Couple of notes, There is an endgame version of the battery and mat storage. The big boy battery for instance is +80 power and +10 core power the mat crate version is similar. I have some on my outpost i can send you the string somewhere but idk if you'll be able to make it. Also the first autloader you unlock will not auto pickup ammo boxes, you will have to use the skill it has or load them into it yourself. The adv version later will pick up as it sees them on its own. These mods are from city ruins BP's btw.

You don't happen to know if core power affects the core's scan range?

i don't know smart mine launcher is even worth using. i try it on snow and it range is so pitifully short. it's shorter than mg range TBH and it cost 120 mat to make 9 ammo...
16:30 dismantler is a total useless item imo. at first i though it will give lower grade item that use to build that gadget but it only give you around10-20 of item price? it is a better idea to just thrown them into generator to burn for a little more power.

28:00 from your video it seem to be 3 small tile from the nearest supported tile.

what on earth is material load and what makes it go up/down? i've been looking all over the internet for an answer but there is no answer anywhere.

you can move the tower, it only needs a 1x2 platform connection. i currently have my tower on lvl 2. and use pillars instead of walls for batteries and generators

i wonder how the damage booster works... It says it boosts your turrets, but its only adding a "line" to one turret.
