This show is widely available on bootlegs. I just thought it was so good, it needs to be here, too. Really good soundboard. In fact, it’s truly one of the best REM tapes ever. Michael is still doing some of those vocal tricks that don’t really work. Kind of comical, really. This copy is sourced from a boot CD entitled Carnival Of Sorts. Made in Italy it says. Early REM is so pure and full of energy, and like truly great bands each player is special individually to the effect of the whole. Really notice each player on this show and how much they are a part of what made them great- especially in their first few years. I was lucky enough to see them 9 times starting in 1986. What a great band!
