Job interviews can be scary, but you can crush them if you understand a few simple facts about literally every potential client you’ll ever meet:

1. They want to hire someone (fast)
2. They’re a human being (and want to be treated like one)
3. They need expertise they don’t have (that hopefully you do)

If you’ve actually gotten an interview, your client is looking for reasons to hire you to write copy for them. After that, it comes down to being ready to answer some common copywriting interview questions.

That’s such a good video!
It’s so important to realise that there’s no one fit all approach to interviews (or, honestly, to nothing really in life). Being genuinely interested in the position you’re applying for also really helps. I can see why Alex always gets all the jobs he’s interviewed for.
Thanks for the tips, guys 😊

I've always had a lot of success in interviews. The tip on being curious about what the business is doing is ace!

That's always what has helped me

I learn a new thing every time I watch your video. Today I learned what "schmuck" is (and well, along with its definition) lol.

That said, I really love how you frame it :)

I get too nervous and fumble. As much as I know when I get nervous I can’t ask good questions etc

It's all a numbers game. Eventually, you'll get a client if you are consistent.

I would love to see this same video from a female perspective. Socially, it's wildly different for us. I have sort of a masculine personality I need tips on how not to come across as too aggressive or bossy but still convey my ideas.
