remember , decades ago , science fiction movies and high tech gadgets manufacturers promised we would have smart watches with phone calls and video conference capability . but they didn't expect these features would be embedded in mobile phones

This is a great concept however I can see one potential problem.
What if my environment or the microenvironment (sleeved coat) around the watch remains around body temperature?
The scope for power generation would diminish greatly.
I believe this is why they added a solar panel to 2nd version.
The solar panel would help but I remain suspicious.

A smart watch made by smartpeopel, BUT like all gps watches, the average user wants a map to show up on the watch and not track that useless road you have been jogging on. Hopefully the model 3 will be that smart and it will be a worth 500 US dollars buy. Hey! You already have the gps on it, go te next step.

I've had the Powerwatch 2 for months now. It's garbage. Buggy. Hard to use. Very inaccurate data. Requires a physical charge every week or two. Totally misleading advertising. Don't buy it.

My guess the catch you have to keep moving to keep the battery charged.

The matrix power watch 2 is crap. It Will break after your warranty expires. Don't buy. Buggy software. A firmware upgrade made the watch unstable. When the battery was drained, the watch never charged again. The battery expanded and destroyed the watch making it useless as water resistance was gone.. I contacted support and they did not offer an option for repair as the warranty just expired. You are on your own after a year. Mine lasted 14 months. It never synced correctly. It worked great for about a month. A total waste of money. You are better off with a name brand watch

Pebble got bought and killed. it didnt die from lack of popularity or shoddy product.
