Thank you for posting this. i’ve always loved transcendentalism. But, the first comment here makes me feel so depressed that I need to lay down. They just heard all that and think it’s the same thing as just not believing in God 😭
Maybe speak very slowly and repeat what you’ve said? 😂 Maybe quote something from Emerson? I don’t know how you would fit that into 1 minute.
This deals with my own problem with transcendentalism, how many people are smart enough to be able to understand the philosophy? Are enough people fundamentally good, or even calm, enough to be able to live, unpoliced and uncontrolled, without harming others? Without organised religion, would there still be religious charities and medical organisations? What about those who do not want to worship alone? Just some questions.
