Sony was smart with this option. Instead of having to make multiple consoles with different colours, they are able to get people to spend extra on a couple of pieces of plastic.

I can't wait until they release the black plates because I imagine just having a matte black looking PS5 would look really cool. I like how they made it so easy to customize the plates you can even take them off so if you want to spray paint them or paint on them you can do that really easily. It's pretty cool if you're into that kind of thing
