Playing Minecraft on an M1 Macbook Air. This was insane

Today I'm going to be installing Minecraft 1.19 Wild update on my new Macbook Air with Apple M1 Processor a lot of you guys wanted to see me run Minecraft natively on the M1 Mac so thanks to the new 1.19 update e now have native support!
We're going to be putting it through its paces and seeing how it runs and well as try Fabric and Sodium to try and get as much FPS Boost as we can and also try running ManyMC which can allow us to run older Minecraft versions natively on the Macbook Air rather than through Rosseta.

The mac I'm using in this video is a Late 2020 Macbook Air with a 8 Core Apple M1, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD

I also have an M1 Mac but with 16 GB. They seem to have similar performances, but I can run more background tasks and still get the same performance.

I'm planning soon to get an M1 iMac with the 8-core GPU and 16GB RAM, and after watching this video I'm definitely getting it seeing this outstanding performance!
It will even have more power than the MacBook Air in this video!

U can also enable show fps from settings:

Go to video settings
Then to "other"
And enable show fps

Persistent Mapping is a very important feature of Sodium, not exactly optimal that the MacBook doesn't support it.

I find that ironically, if you quickly spam f3 twice, you can see the FPS without f3 hogging all the performance as much. I guess it takes a while to update and shows performance before clicking f3? idk

turn the "Reduce Debug Info" to remove unnecessary text in f3 so it doesnt tank fps as much

Well, on my base M2 mackbook air with sodium and resolution set to 1080p, I get on avg about 650 FPS. With complementary reimagined shaders on medium i get stable 60-70 FPS, although It throttles down in 5 minutes. Easy fix for that is to put freezing bag under it, than it can handle full performance without throttling for about 1 hour. That machine is a beast.

Try lowering Simulation Distance to 6 you'll get a lot of FPS

NitroDans video has really helped me to improve my fps in mc.Every single video(even for cracked has helped me)I used to run at bout 20-30 fps after following his videos i got...(on good days 😂)100+ fps im gratefull!🤞

While there is no other way to see fps without using external applications in native Minecraft, the first second or so is the actual framerate you are getting when clicking F3. This menu tanks the fps in half so if you ever test these macs again, I'd recommend you found an external alternative which is more accurate.

if there's no difference between rosetta it means that it is not well optimised to run on m1 Macs yet. Jus because its native doesn't mean its well optimised. Iam sure if they tried they could double the performance
