Thank you my senior year economics teacher. He literally got up in front of the class in the first week of school and made us promise not to tell on him. Then he said, "I don't give a fuck about what the school wants me to teach you kids, you should know the curriculum is bullshit and we're only spending a week on it before I teach you about the system." He then went on to do as he promised, teaching us this exact lesson on inflation taught in this video and much, much more. Opportunity Cost and investing exercises alone took almost a whole semester. This guy was a legend, and you bet anyone coming out of his class was leagues ahead of the typical highschool student in their economic game.
